Job Overview
As the MBA Intern - Servicing Transformation, you will lead the strategic analysis and roadmap development for Valley's servicing transformation program, defining how routine service transactions should shift from branches to lowercost channels such as digital, phone, and ATM while leveraging automation and emerging technologies like AI.


  • You will analyze currentstate transaction volumes, costs, and channel distribution to identify highROI migration opportunities and build robust channeleconomics models to inform the business case.
  • Your work will include competitive benchmarking, customer segmentation, and evaluation of automation capabilities-spanning AI, RPA, and chatbots-to shape the future-state servicing model.
  • You will create detailed business cases and an actionable transition roadmap with sequenced work streams, milestones, risk mitigation strategies, and measurable success metrics.
  • Collaboration will be essential as you partner with crossfunctional teams and a service design intern on service blueprints, journey maps, and channel placement decisions, culminating in presentations to senior leaders across Digital Banking, Branch Operations, Customer Care, and Operations.



To succeed, you should bring strong analytical and financial modeling skills, experience structuring complex strategic problems, excellent communication abilities, and a deep interest in financial services, digital transformation, and customer experience.

Job Description
The Valley Intern Program (VIP) is a unique and challenging 9-week experience for diverse, talented and motivated students interested in gaining relevant experience in their specific area of study within the banking industry. As a Valley intern you will be part of a team and work on projects that enable you to gain real-world skills and experience -- integrating academic learning with practical application. We offer the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to grow professionally and contribute to the end results of the assigned projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Support your manager in performing research and/or analysis on specific topics.
  • Independently complete tasks that contribute to larger projects relevant to the assigned department.
  • Participate in meetings and team discussions to gain insight and contribute to the team's goals or projects.
  • Communicate with team members and other departments to coordinate work, gather information and develop final work products.
  • Join team building activities to establish cross functional relationships within the Valley community.
  • Participate in VIP Mentorship Program meetings with your mentor to enhance your business acumen, network with senior leaders and develop technical and professional skills.
  • Document and report on progress and results of projects and tasks.
  • Attend professional development sessions/classes.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Participate in VIP (Valley Intern Program) hosted events,trainings and projects including
  • Valley Week of Service, Culture Workshops and final project presentations.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned by the respective manager.
