Electronic Test Engineer Oldsmar, FL Pay : $39.52 - $65.87 26-02196 Position Overview The Test Engineer provides technical support to production Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) by developing and maintaining test processes for electronic assemblies. This role is responsible for defining test plans, creating detailed procedures, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and improving test systems to ensure product performance and quality. The Test Engineer collaborates closely with production technicians, engineers, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues, analyze test failures, and implement process improvements.
Job Responsibilities
Provide test engineering support to production Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
Develop and define test process plans outlining the sequence of required test steps
Identify and specify required tools, instruments, fixtures, software, hardware, interfaces, and environmental test chambers
Develop and document detailed test procedures including written instructions, diagrams, and photographs
Create troubleshooting guides to assist technicians in diagnosing and resolving test failures
Analyze test defect data and identify trends to support root cause analysis and corrective actions
Support engineering change management activities within the production program
Provide day-to-day technical support to manufacturing work cells by resolving technician questions and investigating product or test issues
Improve test processes, procedures, fixtures, hardware, and software to optimize production testing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient testing operations and product quality
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in CCA testing and circuit troubleshooting
Ability to review and interpret test documentation including schematics, drawings, parts lists, and test requirements
Knowledge of testing methods for power, RF, digital, and analog electronic circuits
Ability to design and troubleshoot test fixtures that interface between test systems and products
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing product and test system issues
Ability to develop structured test procedures and technical documentation
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with technicians and engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
3-5+ years of experience in CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) testing and troubleshooting
Experience with automated test platforms such as Teradyne Spectrum 9100, L321, Autotest, National Instruments, and National Research
Experience designing and testing CCAs across multiple technologies including digital, analog, power, and RF systems
Software development experience with test-related programming languages
Experience developing automated test solutions and fixtures
