Position Title: Production / Manufacturing Supervisor

Wage: $70,000 - $90,000/year

Production / Manufacturing Supervisor Responsibilities:

- Manage and provide leadership for the functional group's development, direction, and effectiveness, adhering to organizational policies and processes and supporting overall business and corporate objectives

- Ensure operations schedules are met within budget through appropriate use of human and technology resources, scheduling and effective problem solving

- Plan and implement organizational changes within area of responsibility

- Recommends changes to other areas that will improve overall effectiveness of the operations and/or quality group

- Acts as the Voice of the Customer and Subject Matter Expert for processes and partnerships within the business

- Serve as point of contact for engineering and other support functions

- Participate and promote associate participation on cross-functional teams

- Maintain consistency in issues related to company policy, practices and documentation

- Facilitate group meetings

- Create development plans for associates and provide honest and constructive performance feedback

- Manage throughput, schedule obtainment and non-conformance processes

- Maintain data management and entry into relevant systems

Qualifications for Production / Manufacturing Supervisor:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent of education and experience

- At least two years of experience in production supervision

- Demonstrated knowledge and maintained competencies in all areas defined at the Production Lead level or equivalent experience preferred

- Exposure of Lean/Six Sigma practices preferred

- Knowledge of managing in a regulatory environment preferred

- Demonstrated ability to supervise associates

- Working knowledge of the business's products and their use

- Demonstrated leadership and presentation skills

- Working knowledge of performance reports and how activities in area of responsibility affect them

- Experience and knowledge of technology and methods applicable to the area

- Ability to learn, understand and apply statistical methodologies to manufacturing volumes

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

- Proven ability to lead and mentor others

- Expert knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines and practices

- Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills

- Demonstrated knowledge of safety practices

- Knowledge and use of relevant computer software applications and skills to use them effectively
