Position Title: Machine Operator
Wage: $16.00 - $22.00/hour Shift: 1st or 2nd Hours: 5:00am - 1:30pm or 1:30pm - 12:00am Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Machine Operator at a company in Kenosha, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 1st or 2nd shift. Apply now! Machine Operator Responsibilities: - Review job orders (written or verbal) and determine material needs - Select and assemble proper materials and parts for building specific cores - Assemble cores by performing various manual tasks - Insert fins into fin table; insert tubes into fins to create core blocks - Operate bake oven (setting bake time/temperature; ensuring cores are square) - Attach headers on cores (with mallet) - Use fin comb and torch to straighten fins (or by hand); repairing fin gaps (torch only) - Use high pressure wash to clean cores - Inspects cores for imperfections, etc.; prepares/attaches core tags - Clean and maintain work area (daily), core building equipment and other tools of trade - Ensure that work is done in accordance with and adheres to ISO and Quality standards Requirements for Machine Operator: - Maximum lifting requirement (pounds): 100 assisted lifting (infrequently), 50 (occasionally), 25 (frequently) - Ability to read and understand job requirements, shop drawings, bills of material and blueprints. - Knowledge of properties of core materials, structural metals, and related materials (OJT) - Skill in operating and maintaining core manufacturing equipment and related tools of trade (OJT) - Knowledge of occupational hazards and the ability to follow safe work practices - Ability to communicate and work effectively with others - At least three years of manufacturing or related experience is desirable - Related technical training (high school or beyond) is desirable but not essential - Forklift operator certification is desirable but not essential kenoshapc@qpsemployment.com IND015 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
