We are thrilled to be searching for a brilliant Systems Engineer to join a specialized team focused on platform integrity. This isn't just any engineering role; it's an opportunity to be at the heart of defending against cybercrime and abuse. Imagine designing and deploying systems that automatically detect and neutralize threats, ensuring compliance, and upholding the highest standards of online trust and safety. Your work will directly translate complex legal and security requirements into powerful, scalable applications that have a profound impact on the internet's health and security.

You'll be instrumental in owning the entire software development lifecycle for critical systems that drive automated abuse detection and support legal response efforts. Your expertise will directly contribute to building robust data pipelines, enhancing compliance tools, and improving the overall stability and performance of security services. This role offers the unique chance to collaborate across highly skilled teams, translating cutting-edge security requirements into elegant, scalable solutions that protect users worldwide.

This is a fully remote role, 40 hours per week, talent must be based in the US.

We're looking for someone with 2-5 years experience in tihs role.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Design, build, run, and scale distributed tools and services for abuse detection, mitigation, and legal response.

* Develop critical data pipelines and services to collect, analyze, and act on abuse signals at scale.

* Extend, improve, and maintain mission-critical trust and safety solutions, including compliance pipelines and abuse scanning tools.

* Collaborate closely with threat operations, trust and safety, legal, and product teams to translate complex technical requirements into elegant, scalable solutions.

* Improve system design and architecture to ensure stability, performance, and maintainability of both internal and customer-facing compliance and security services.

* Communicate technical concepts clearly and contribute to project planning efforts.

* Contribute to operational excellence initiatives, including improving monitoring, observability, and reliability of production services.

* Write well-tested, modular, and reusable code following engineering best practices.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

* Proven experience in systems engineering or software development with a focus on distributed systems.

* Experience programming in systems languages such as Rust and Golang.

* Proficiency in Golang and TypeScript.

* A solid understanding of RESTful API design and documentation.

* Experience with HTTP.

* Knowledge of SQL databases and practical experience with PostgreSQL.

* Strong debugging and testing skills.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Background in Trust & Safety.

* Deep understanding of internet protocols and networking.

* Experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.

* Familiarity with configuration management tools.

* Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.

* Experience with Kafka and Redis.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
