Senior Specification Engineer

The Specification Engineer is responsible for defining, developing, and maintaining system and featurelevel specifications for AIRAN solutions.
The position operates within RAN Architecture & Specification (A&S) and works closely with RAN system architects, L1/L2/L3 engineering teams, AI/ML experts, platform teams, and product management to ensure highquality, feasible, and implementable specifications.


  • Perform system and subsystemlevel requirements analysis and decomposition
  • Maintain assigned specification chapters or sections in the requirement management system, aligned with your area of expertise
  • Lead crossfunctional specification teams, ensuring alignment across multiple domains
  • Specify new features at system and entity level
  • Conduct specification feasibility studies in cooperation with architecture and development teams
  • Analyze customer feature requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications
  • Support software development teams working with agile development methodologies
  • Participate in acceptance criteria definition and verification for software development teams
  • Provide support to test teams, including clarification of requirements and expected behavior
  • Create entitylevel test scenarios to ensure proper validation of specified functionality

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Requirements Engineer, Software Developer, or Tester
    (L1 or L2 layer experience is considered a strong advantage)
  • Knowledge of IBM Rational DOORS is considered an advantage
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong sense of ownership for assigned responsibilities
  • Motivation to drive endtoend feature development across organizational boundaries
  • Ability to apply sound judgment and work according to defined guidelines and objectives
  • Demonstrates initiative and adaptability in a changing business environment
  • Comfortable working with a moderate level of supervision and coaching
