Position Summary
The University of Georgia is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Program Coordinator III. The Archway Partnership is a Public Service and Outreach Unit under the leadership of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach ( PSO). Archway is a nationally recognized leader in community engagement and stakeholder facilitation.
The position will assist faculty and staff with day-to-day operations. In addition, it provides program coordination and management on behalf of the Archway Partnership and coordinates the delivery of services for the Archway Partnership across the state of Georgia. This incumbent will primarily support three key initiatives funded by a congressionally designated grant from the U.S. Department of Labor: workforce development planning in Archway Partnership communities, the Connected Resilient Communities program, and a new rural internship program. This individual will collaborate efficiently and efficiently with colleges, units, and departments across campus. Provides backup communications support concerning website and social media for the department, as well as inner communications and promotions. May involve overnight travel on rare occasions.

  • Excellent organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures, as well as proofread and edit written material.
  • Demonstrated computer competency and knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced office environment, multi-task, and remain detail-oriented.
  • In addition, preferred competency and knowledge would include Photoshop, InDesign, and Publisher.

Project Management and Supervision:

  • Lead and facilitate project meetings on a regular basis and support role for virtual/in person facilitation as needed.
  • Facilitate higher education resource requests and correspondence throughout the process.
  • Sole oversight of Archway database with project details, students, and faculty working on projects and other information related to CRC, Rural Internship Program, and other Department of Labor (DOL) initiatives.
  • Understand and know project statuses across the Archway Partnership and DOL programs to ensure accurate and timely provision of resources and communicate this information during project update meetings.
  • Lead and manage search process of student employees. Supervise student workers, graphic design students, PSO Student Scholar interns, etc. to include mentoring and evaluations.

Duties/Responsibilities
Program & Unit Support:

  • Serve as general support for Archway Partnership initiatives and Archway faculty and staff. Duties to include but are not limited to copying, printing, sending and receiving mail/shipments, faxing, typing letters and forms, calendar management, and scheduling.
  • Understand and anticipate the needs of unit leadership and provide appropriate resources for preparation regarding upcoming meetings, deadlines, etc. Draft correspondence and prepare information for communications team.
  • Manage any travel needs, travel authorities, reimbursements, meeting registrations, etc., as needed. Upkeep on vehicle maintenance. Maintain gas card receipt records.
  • Plan and manage logistics for special events, meetings, and programs, ensuring all materials, including presentations, supplies and other details of events are in order.
  • Other duties as required/assigned.
