About the Role We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Food Service Associate / Barista to join our hospital dietary & hospitality team. This individual will greet guests, prepare beverages and food items to order, and help maintain a clean and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities * Welcome and assist visitors, guests, and staff with food and beverage selections. * Prepare high-quality, hand-crafted beverages including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. * Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all orders. * Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions with patients, visitors, physicians, coworkers, and leadership. * Operate cash registers and credit card processing equipment. * Address and resolve customer questions or concerns promptly and professionally. * Clean and maintain all assigned work areas (sweeping, mopping, equipment, refrigerators, etc.). * Re-stock food and non-food supplies as needed. * Remove garbage and cardboard according to hospital procedures. * Record daily temperatures for food, freezers, and refrigerators. * Assist in the dish room, cleaning necessary items daily. * Maintain cleanliness in serving and dining areas. * Participate in cross-training for additional dietary department roles. * Recognize and verbalize the hospital's stroke alert process. * Complete required annual stroke training (1-hour online module). * Qualifications* * 1 year hospital food service experience preferred * ServSafe certification a plus * Previous retail or food service experience * 2 years of hospitality experience preferred * Strong customer service and communication skills * Ability to follow food safety standards and hospital procedures * Comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-centric work environment * Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods Why Join Our Team? * Opportunity to support patient and visitor experience in a meaningful way * Friendly, team-oriented environment * Training and development opportunities * Cross-training in multiple roles within the department Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wellington, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
