Lead Multi-Modality Technologist (CT/X-Ray) Full Time, First Shift

The Lead Multi-Modality Technologist performs CT and X-Ray imaging procedures while supporting daily workflow and operational efficiency within the imaging department. This role produces high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation while helping coordinate staffing, patient flow, and departmental operations. The Lead Technologist also assists leadership with staff training, performance feedback, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform CT and X-Ray imaging procedures according to department protocols.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
  • Verify patient identity, orders, and medical history prior to procedures.
  • Monitor patients during imaging exams to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Perform peripheral venipuncture for contrast administration when required.
  • Ensure images are properly archived in PACS and report any technical issues.
  • Perform image post-processing according to department protocols.
  • Coordinate daily workflow, staffing coverage, and patient flow within the department.
  • Assist leadership with staff training, competency validation, and performance feedback.
  • Maintain imaging equipment and ensure quality control procedures are completed.
  • Order and monitor supplies and coordinate equipment maintenance with vendors.
  • Follow radiation safety standards and apply ALARA principles during imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams to support patient care.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited imaging sciences program.
  • ARRT Registry in Radiography RT(R)(CT) required.
  • Kentucky Radiation Operator License required.
  • CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
  • Experience performing CT and X-Ray imaging procedures.
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Prior lead or charge technologist experience preferred.
