Details	BASIC FUNCTION Providing a safe and welcoming environment at the Macbride Nature Recreational Area, located at 2095 Mehaffey Bridge Rd NE, Solon IA. This includes grooming the grounds, maintaining the trails, completing daily rounds throughout the park, and other responsibilities as defined. This position will be assisting the Facility and Land Coordinator. RESPONSIBILITIES Opening/closing park entrance Clearing debris from roads Readying facilities for UI Wild programming needs Cleaning restroom facilities Picking up trash Mowing grass Reviewing monthly and weekly task lists provided to you Maintaining inventory of equipment Reviewing the project list as needed REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Mowing experience Chain saw certified DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous park experience First Aid certified Knowledge of ecology and/or native plants. WORK HOURS Part time with a maximum of 20 hours per week during the heavy growth season. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS Criminal Background Check upon hire. All online trainings required by the University of Iowa Youth Programs Protocol. All online trainings required by University of Iowa Environmental Health and Safety for employees that work outside. RATE OF PAY $18.00/hour
