ABOUT THE ROLE

The Ready Mix Operator is responsible for safely operating a ready-mix truck while ensuring accurate batching, timely delivery, and proper handling of materials. This role also supports basic truck maintenance, recordkeeping, and coordination with Quality Control to ensure product consistency. Success in this position requires attention to safety, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production and delivery environment.

Salary range $25.04/Hour. Based on location and experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Operate a ready-mix truck safely and in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Obtain and maintain a valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement
  • Pass ICC physical and maintain medical qualification for commercial driving
  • Perform light maintenance and cleaning of ready-mix truck and drum
  • Learn and operate computerized batching system accurately
  • Deliver and maintain batching records for Quality Control review
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and mechanically sound vehicle at all times
  • Follow all company motor vehicle safety and driving policies
  • Support safe handling and delivery of materials to job sites
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

The ideal candidate is a safety-focused and dependable driver with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality and accuracy. They are comfortable operating commercial vehicles in a production and delivery environment while following strict DOT and company standards. This individual is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn batching systems and equipment maintenance processes.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement and DOT medical card required
  • Ability to pass DOT drug screening and random testing requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform light vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to learn and operate computerized batching systems
  • Strong attention to safety and detail in all driving and production tasks
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and follow procedures
  • Basic understanding of vehicle care and equipment cleanliness standards
  • Strong reliability and ability to work independently in the field
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a production and transportation environment


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors year-round
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
