ABOUT THE ROLE

The Mold Builder is responsible for constructing and assembling precision wooden forms and mold components used in precast concrete production. This role requires reading blueprints, maintaining tight tolerances, and using a variety of hand and power tools to build durable, accurate forms that support high-quality production output in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Reads production drawings/blueprints and constructs wooden forms and block-outs with close tolerance to specifications
  • Must have clear knowledge of basic measurements and the ability to read a tape measure within 16th of an inch
  • Must be able to use a wide variety of tools, including but not limited to staple gun, brad nailer, hammer, measuring tape, pneumatic nail gun, pneumatic palm sander, and circular saws
  • Maintains good housekeeping and always follows safety policies and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
  • Performs additional duties as requested or required


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with tools in a hands-on construction or manufacturing setting. They are reliable, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently from drawings while maintaining accuracy, teamwork, and strong time management in a production environment.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • On-the-job training offered
  • Prior experience in operating heavy equipment preferred
  • Precast/construction experience preferred but not required


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors year-round
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
