Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for a Buyer/Plannerto join them. You will report to the Operations Director and will have an onsite, 1st shift work schedule in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered for this role,here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience working/ planning in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

As aBuyer/ Planner,you will:

  • Plan, coordinate, schedule and suggest changes to program plans.
  • Provide delivery information to Program team based on lead-times.
  • Determine Engineering Order change effectiveness and impacts on schedules.
  • Resolve your own program plan problems independently.
  • Coordinate with other departments to provide a workable production schedule and assist in correcting work center load imbalances.
  • Monitoring total scope of progress of program plan.
  • Influence and persuade all levels of employees to implement a successful program plan.
  • Analyze part requirements, orders, schedules, and expedite assigned items.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of items not on schedule.
  • Provide inputs required for the proper loading of Bill of Material for new programs.
  • Coordinate closely with Assembly & Test to optimize the build function considering parts shortages.
  • Participate in lean management, including tiered meetings, and on responses, and scheduling.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, change management, and structured problem-solving activities.

Buffalo, NY $30.00-$35.00 Hourly

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
