Position Summary
Pay rate: $20.00 per hour (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am) The employee will monitor and communicate safety, facilities, and property incidents. Emergency and non-emergency calls will be prioritized and communicated internally and externally with management, security personnel, law enforcement, and contractors. This is a full-time position used to fill in for varying shifts, days off, and required overtime. Essential Functions
- Answer emergency and non-emergency phone calls
- Monitor security cameras
- Troubleshoot access control, alarm, and Camera Software to resolve software problems
- Monitor alarm system and dispatch accordingly
- Monitor access control systems and imprint access control cards
- Keep records, write reports, perform data entry
Additional Functions
- Complete any assignment or duty as designated by Corporate Security Manager.
- All persons employed or associated with Foster Farms are responsible for the quality and food safety of company products.
- Security Officers are primarily responsible for ensuring that all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed on a consistent basis by regular bag inspections of all employees entering the plant.
- Write dispatch job specific procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in coordination with Management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strongly prefer experience in law enforcement, security or military police
- Ability to work flexible shifts, days, weekends, holidays, overtime (as needed)
- Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls as well as knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Current Guard Card is preferred
- Able to read and write proficiently in English.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Assess situations and exercise sound judgment
- Memorize and recall data with the ability to multi-task
- Must be proficient in Computers; typing, Microsoft Windows/Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
- Ability to accept direction and responsibility
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Alarm Operators or Dispatchers
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for specific skills, certifications, or authorizations specified for the assignee site
- Ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions furnishing in written, oral, or diagrammed form
- Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments including the issuing of breaks and lunches
- Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances
- Ability to adapt to various sites and changes in post procedures, as well as changes in the external environment and organizations
- Ability to write routine correspondences, including logs and reports
- Strong customer service and results orientation
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients, at various social levels and across diverse cultures
