The Role Controls, directs and manages the casino operation ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, profitability, customer service and security are met in accordance with the company's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, resolving problems, developing positive employee morale. Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.); or three to five years varied experience in the operational aspects of the gaming industry; three years of department management experience including supervising personnel; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Possess the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and guests. Mathematical Skills: Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities. Has the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Possess the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios in order to prepare budgets, assess financial performance and to design cost-effective solutions. Reasoning Ability: Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Possess the ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions, in mathematical or diagram form; and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
