Electrical Apprentice Location: Sandstone, VA Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Day Shift (Overtime Available) Pay: 19-23/hr. About the Role We are seeking a motivated Low Voltage Electrical Apprentice who is eager to grow their skills in both OSP (Outside Plant) and ISP (Inside Plant) environments. This role offers hands-on experience across a wide range of low-voltage systems, giving you strong exposure to commercial cabling, fiber work, and field construction. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build hands-on experience in electrical and low-voltage work while learning from experienced technicians in the field. As an Apprentice, you'll support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems in commercial environments. Responsibilities * Assist with installing, testing, and repairing low-voltage cable systems including Cat5/Cat6, fiber optics, coax, and related infrastructure * Pull, route, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling according to project specifications * Help troubleshoot wiring issues, equipment malfunctions, and connectivity problems * Maintain a clean and organized work environment * Follow all safety standards, including OSHA and site-specific guidelines * Work effectively alongside Lead Technicians and Project Managers * Provide excellent professionalism on customer sites * Work outside or inside Qualifications * 0-2 years of electrical, cabling, telecommunications, or construction experience (we will train) * Basic understanding of electrical and low-voltage systems is a plus * Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in physically active environments * Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and reliable attendance * Ability to use basic hand and power tools * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation * Ability to pass a BGC check and drug screening What We Offer * Competitive hourly pay based on experience * Overtime opportunities * Hands-on training and mentorship * Career advancement paths into Technician 2 or Lead Tech * Consistent full-time schedule * Supportive team environment Who Thrives in This Role This is a great fit for individuals who enjoy hands-on, technical work; want to grow within the electrical/low-voltage field; and are looking for a stable, long-term career with room to advance.
