Job Description




As a Security Guard - Armed Perimeter Patrol Driver in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving patrol professional at a government location, where you will conduct visible mobile patrols, perform security-related inspections, and respond to incidents with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, support access control needs, and help to deter unwanted activity while providing strong customer service to staff and visitors. Bring your armed guard card and valid driver's license and be part of a team built on integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Maintain an armed presence in accordance with licensing requirements and post orders, helping to deter unauthorized activity while remaining professional and approachable.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and local public agencies as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter grounds; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to supervision, and support access control tasks such as verifying identification and/or monitoring entry points.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience OR a college degree.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a armed guard card and unarmed guard card.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
