Pay range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually

Your Opportunity:

As a full-time staff accountant for TechSource you will perform a variety of accounting duties for the Accounting Department including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial statements, and other financial work. In addition, you will ensure compliance with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) regulations. You will create and maintain relationships with internal and external customers. You will work in the office daily, located in Albuquerque, NM.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Reconcile financial records.
  • Prepare month-end close.
  • Support financial reporting to corporate.
  • Manage the invoicing and billing related to Time and Material (T&M) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts. Ensure invoicing is accurate, account payable entries are timely recorded, and bank accounts are properly reconciled.
  • Establish strong working relationships with departmental colleagues and deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Work on special projects and impromptu reports for the Controller, as needed.

* US citizenship is required for this role.

* Bachelor's degree in accounting.

* 7 or more years of relevant accounting experience.

* Familiarity with GAAP, DCAA-compliant processes, and CAS.

* Commitment to ethical practices and possess a thorough understanding of confidentiality requirements.

* Demonstrated awareness of importance of maintaining confidentiality and abiding by requirements surrounding personally identifiable information (PII).

* Ability to work well as both a team member and individual contributor.

* Effective interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.

* Deadline-driven, detail-oriented, organized, and efficient professional.

* Analytical skills and openness to implement IT solutions and new more efficient techniques; process improvement focused.

* Solid understanding of MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel.

* Proficiency in accounting software used in government contracting industry (e.g., Deltek, Costpoint, or Unanet).

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a government contracting environment preferred.

* CPA preferred.
