What to Expect
The Receptionist, Workplace Associate will support the Essential Services Workplace team by managing the reception front desk in the building lobby. As the initial point of contact, this role provides a smooth, professional experience for employees and visitors through strong administrative skills, exceptional interpersonal communication, and keen attention to detail. The individual thrives in a fast-paced environment with resourcefulness, adaptability, and a commitment to outstanding service while collaborating closely with the Workplace Programs and Operations team on various projects and initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Welcome employees and visitors with warmth and professionalism to foster a culture of hospitality
- Manage the visitor management system, including badge issuance, NDAs, security procedures, and access control
- Monitor and maintain the front desk area to ensure it remains organized, presentable, and secure at all times
- Handle incoming communications, emails, and inquiries, directing them promptly to the appropriate team or Tesla Responsible Person
- Support the Workplace team (Programs, Operations, Transportation, Culinary, Mailroom) and onsite leadership with projects, including sitewide communications, event organization, supply restocking/ordering, budget proposals, and creating POs
- Develop and maintain metrics to track routine tasks, employee/visitor volumes, and other key operational data monthly
- Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to ensure efficient office operations and high-quality support
What You'll Bring
- 1-2 years of proven experience in a receptionist or administrative workplace support role, preferably in a corporate environment
- Availability to work the swing shift from 2pm-10:30pm Monday to Friday
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, demonstrating strong workload prioritization and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with office management tools
- Strong organizational work ethic combined with excellent copywriting, verbal, and written communication skills when interacting with employees, visitors, and senior leadership
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed to support operational demands
- Professional appearance, demeanor, and welcoming personality that aligns with Tesla's high standards for service
