Payroll & Operations Specialist

Pay Range: $28.85/hr - $31.25/hr DOE

Location: Exeter, NH

We are looking for a highly organized, self-motivated Payroll & Operations Specialist to support our fast-paced Staffing Company. As our business has experienced great growth, we require assistance to support our payroll operations. Working with our Payroll and Accounting teams, the Payroll & Operations Specialist will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll through Paycom and will serve as the trusted advocate to all employees. The position is 40 hours/5 days a week in a hybrid environment (onsite Tuesdays/Thursdays) located in Exeter, New Hampshire office.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain payroll procedures which include timecard and expense report collection and entry
• Thoroughly review expense reports and receipts to ensure reimbursement guidelines are strictly followed
• Prepare reports and conduct audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll data
• Work with internal and external parties to resolve payroll discrepancies
• Liaise with Onboarding team on new hires, terminations, and changes
• Assist other team members and departments with projects, tasks, and requests as needed to support overall business operations.

Requirements:

• Associates degree or comparable knowledge in payroll-related field
• 1+ years of experience in a multi-state payroll department with exempt and non-exempt staff
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Outlook
• Must be very meticulous with details, extremely organized and understand how to prioritize deadlines.
• Quick study when learning new processes and systems and adaptable to new environments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Paycom experience a plus
