Requisition #: 1494 Job Title: Java Automation Engineer Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland Clearance Level: Secret Required Certification(s): Agile Certification Preferred SUMMARY Agile Defense is looking for a Java Automation Engineer or Java Automation Developer to join a large scale national security program responsible for protecting US transportation infrastructure. The program is focused on making risk assessments of individuals attempting to access US transportation infrastructure. There is a demanding response time, availability, and transaction requirement for the program. The program uses Agile Development and the Java Engineer/Developer will be a member of an agile team. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES QUALIFICATIONS Required Certifications - Agile Certification Preferred Education, Background, and Years of Experience - Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Additional years of experience may be substituted for a formal degree. ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills - 2+ years of java development experience - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience/ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment - Experience with Java/JEE - Experience with Agile Development - Ability to independently manage tasks and deadlines Preferred Skills - Experience with any of the following preferred: JMS, XML, Angular, SQL - Experience in a large scale Federal IT Program with high availability requirements Employees of Agile Defense are our number one priority, and the importance we place on our culture here is fundamental.
