Position Title: Access Services Evening SupervisorCompensation: $50,000 - $53,000Department: University Libraries_EAbout this opportunity: Ball State University Libraries is seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative team member to join our dedicated Access Services and Open Education unit as the Access Services Evening Supervisor. The Evening Supervisor provides operational leadership and supervision of library staff working eveninghours. This position assists Ball State students, faculty, staff, and community library users during the evening and late-night hours, answering research-related questions, checking out materials, assisting in the closing of Bracken Library on Sunday through Thursday evenings. Successful candidates will have customer service and supervisory experience and enjoy contributing to student academic success. The Access Services Evening Supervisor will work independently and collaboratively with colleagues to provide excellent customer services and to promote the services and collections of the University Libraries. The minimum salary for this position is $50,000. What you'll do and what you'll bring: Position Function: Manage and coordinate Access Services and University Libraries' public operations during evening hours; has operational authority and responsibility for supervising public services personnel during evening hours; facilitate communication between day, evening, and night staff shifts regarding operations, projects, problem situations, etc.; support a collaborative work environment and service culture to advance the strategic direction of the University Libraries.
