Charge Nurse Surgical Services FT

The Surgical Services Charge RN is responsible for acting as a resource nurse for the department. This is an entry-level leadership position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care. This position will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in nursing

• Active RN license in the state of Indiana

• BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA, ARC, or AHSI required

• ACLS certification (obtained within 12 months of hire)

• PALS certification (obtained within 12 months of hire)

• One year of nursing experience; One year of nursing experience in area of specialty preferred
