Position Summary:

The National Account Manager is responsible for the renting and selling of Automated Taping & Finishing Tools, Non-ATF and related merchandise including all ancillary categories at existing and targeted accounts. Ancillary categories may include Pro Service, RTO, Consignment, and additional services. Conduct sales calls on the assigned customer base, new customers and the union training centers, establishing relationships, identifying training and sales opportunities as well as coordinating Ames stores activity.

Will assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies achieving budgeted revenue and profit growth with assigned and targeted National Accounts. Execute and communicate Sales and Rental presentations, Rebate agreements, driving promotions, campaigns, and activities to gain new market share and achieve all sales targets. Must work collaboratively with all internal stakeholders providing world-class service to support our leadership position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned revenue and profitability targets with assigned National Accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong partnership relationships with customers and sales team, including Ames stores.
  • Analyze customer needs and market trends to accurately forecast demands as well as identify potential; new products and services to gain market share.
  • Research and source potential new customers.
  • Cultivate identified target customers in both existing and new geographic markets.
  • Coordinate with key personnel at the Regional, District and Store levels to present and execute revenue producing activities.
  • Participate in customer related activities, including Pro Shows, Union/associations events and other events to create demand and revenue for Ames Taping Tools.
  • Quarterly and Midyear business presentations to assigned National Accounts.
  • Collaborate and assist the Head of National Accounts, driving sales and services of Ames Taping Tools to gain market share.
  • Identify and coordinate field training to existing and targeted customers.
  • Resolve customer complaints.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or five years sales experience, including construction-related sales with customers on a national and regional level.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales, profitability, and budget goals.
  • Ability to effectively implement sales and marketing strategies.
  • Ability to effectively analyze performance versus plan and strategize accordingly.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales reports, strategy documents, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
  • procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to develop compelling presentations, write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • High-energy self-starter as well as collaborative team player.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate cross functionally within company and the customer.
  • Demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customer.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions from executives, managers, associates, users, and
  • customers both internally and externally.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • This position requires up to 75% travel depending on customers activities.
  • The ability to perform business math functions using calculators or computers is essential, Gross Profit, Gross Margin, Mark up, Discount, etc. The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 80% of the time.
  • Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and ability to adjust focus. The employee
  • must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $37,500.00 to $75,000.00 annually. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance-based bonus programs, commissions, profit-sharing programs, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
