Production Specialist - 2nd Shift

As a Production Specialist, you will support the manufacturing of innovative diagnostic products that help improve the lives of people and animals worldwide. This is a 2nd shift onsite role, Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM. The Manufacturing Operations team plays a critical role in producing high-quality diagnostic products that support healthcare professionals and veterinarians globally. Through collaboration, continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing principles, and a strong focus on quality, the team helps ensure IDEXX products are manufactured safely, accurately, and efficiently.

• You will operate a variety of automated and manual manufacturing equipment used to produce human-diagnostic cassettes containing specialized sensors.
• You will run and monitor machines across multiple production stations, including automated, semi-manual, and manual work areas.
• You will be trained across several production stations to develop versatility and understanding of the full manufacturing process.
• You will gather, record, and verify production data with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• You will perform equipment setup, changeovers, operation, cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor machine maintenance activities.
• You will follow detailed manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and quality standards with consistency and precision.
• You will collaborate with teammates and leadership to support production goals, open communication, and continuous process improvements.
• You will contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment guided by 5S, Lean Manufacturing principles, and ISO standards.
• You will help foster an inclusive and respectful team environment that values diverse perspectives and collaboration.
• You will demonstrate curiosity, motivation, and a desire to continuously learn and grow within manufacturing operations.

• You have strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality within a regulated production or manufacturing environment (required).

• You have a High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing or production experience (required).
• You have basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and working with decimals and fractions (required).
• You are able to meet the physical requirements of working in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods, sitting, computer use, extended reaching, repetitive hand and finger movement, occasional bending or kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and specific vision requirements including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus (required).

• The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM.
• Shifts and hours may vary slightly depending on business needs.
• You will play an important role in supporting operational continuity through reliable and dependable attendance.

• An hourly rate target of $19.50 per hour based on experience
• $2 per hour shift differential
