Description

The Finance Planning Partner reports directly to the
Director Dean's Office Finance and serves as a key member of the Dean's Office
Finance team within the Financial Affairs Unit of the Dean's Office.

The position serves as the Dean's Office financial planning
and analysis lead for the Dean's Office educational and research programs and
is responsible for delivering decision support, financial modeling, and process
improvement, budget management services to enable the Dean's Office leadership
to make timely decisions and achieve desired financial results. This includes
financial modeling and analysis, reporting, and program support for Dean's
Office educational programs, interdisciplinary programs, research
infrastructure, and related programs embedded within the Dean's Office or
supported by the Dean's Office across the School.

The position will play a key role in the Dean's Office
annual budgeting process, monthly forecast, financial plan variance analysis,
and special projects. They will provide
financial consulting and strategic support to the education and research
programs leadership and the Dean's executive leadership team. They will also identify
and propose process improvements, be responsible for the creation/development
of financial reports and modeling and participate in enhancements for existing
reports and models. In addition, they will independently and effectively manage
the relationships with the education and research divisions and other
stakeholders to ensure a collaborative inter-departmental working environment.

Salary Range: $95400.00 - 151800.00 Annually

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial planning and
    analysis or related field
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in business administration
    with an emphasis in accounting or finance or an equivalent combination of
    education and experience. CMA or MBA desirable.
  • Outstanding skills in financial management, budgeting,
    financial planning, financial forecasting and modeling.
  • Proven record of the ability to communicate with and
    influence key stakeholders across finance, education, and research arenas
    including senior administrators, senior leadership, directors and other
    professionals across the university.
  • Experience creating executive level presentations using
    Microsoft suite products including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail,
    strong work ethic, results orientation and ability to work through projects
    independently.
  • Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and respectfully
    under time pressure, tight deadlines and stressful situations; proven ability
    to develop timelines for multiple projects and conduct business in a manner
    designed to monitor and successfully meet those deadlines without supervision.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, including the ability to
    analyze data and propose appropriate information for decision-making at the
    highest levels of leadership.
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point skills.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and accounting concepts,
    including basic framework of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
  • Expertise in fund accounting.
  • Experience leading process improvement and innovation in
    across departments / programs.
