Role

PDW is seeking a hands-on Embedded Technician to support the development, assembly, and testing of advanced electronic systems. This role is highly lab-focused and will involve soldering, electronics fabrication, and hardware bring-up. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in PCB assembly and modification, with a keen eye for detail and precision in executing electronic builds.

Responsibilities

* Assemble, modify, and rework printed circuit boards (PCBs) and prototypes.

* Perform fine-pitch soldering, wire harnessing, and electronics fabrication.

* Support engineering teams with hardware bring-up, integration, and validation.

* Operate lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.

* Maintain lab inventory, tools, and consumables to support ongoing projects.

* Assist in hardware debugging and root-cause analysis alongside engineers.

* Perform system-level wiring, harness assembly, and connector terminations.

* Document lab procedures, rework steps, and assembly notes for traceability.

* Provide feedback to engineers on design-for-assembly and manufacturability improvements.

* Support prototype builds and test fixtures for embedded hardware systems.

Requirements

* U.S. Citizenship.

* Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in electronics technology.

* 3+ years of experience as a technician in electronics, hardware labs, or manufacturing.

* Strong soldering skills, with precision rework on fine-pitch and high-density PCBs.

* Familiarity with schematic diagrams, assembly drawings, and wiring harness documentation.

* Proficiency with common lab and test equipment.

* Understanding of ESD handling and safe lab practices.

* Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical and detail-oriented approach.

* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

* Effective communication skills for documenting and reporting technical findings.

* Ability to work independently while also supporting collaborative engineering efforts.

* Flexibility to adapt to shifting project priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Previous experience in drone technologies is a plus.

ITAR Requirement
