Our client, a well-established global organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Traffic Administrator to support import/export operations and ensure compliance with international trade regulations. This is a great opportunity for someone with logistics or trade compliance experience looking to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Ensure all U.S. and international import/export requirements are met for shipments
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global trade regulations and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with Trade Compliance to maintain accurate HTS, COO, ECCN classifications
  • Prepare and manage documentation for import/export transactions using compliance software
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, and carriers to ensure timely delivery
  • Determine cost-effective transportation methods and routing
  • Monitor carrier performance and resolve service issues
  • Review and manage letters of credit, ensuring compliance with banking requirements
  • Present documentation to domestic and international banks for payment processing
  • Provide freight quotes and manage freight billing
  • Deliver excellent customer service through strong communication and problem-solving skills



Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in logistics, transportation, or trade compliance
  • (Relevant education/training may substitute for experience)
  • Strong knowledge of import/export processes and international shipping
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, brokers, and carriers
  • Ability to navigate trade compliance systems and software
  • Effective communication skills and customer-focused mindset
