About the Role

We're looking for a to join our team as Subrogation Team Lead. In this role, you will work directly with the Subrogation Leadership Team to achieve SLAs and will be responsible for developing and executing the tactics for team training and coaching to maintain and exceed the objectives. This role will impact the organization's ability to bring revenue forward and the BSC with guiding the team towards a higher percentage of recovery.

What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership that inspires change while achieving the highest level of customer service coupled with meeting or exceeding subrogation goals.
  • Provide staff support for employee escalations and claims review.
  • Provide employees with guidance and direction on complex subrogation files to ensure maximum recovery on behalf of our customers and quickly identify when files need to be escalated up the management chain or outside business partners.
  • Ensure team members are meeting goals set by leadership by participating in individual claims review and providing coaching and mentoring as needed.
  • Conduct training for new employees and tenured employees.
  • Maintain and update all process manuals and training materials as changes occur.
  • Facilitate training meetings, team meetings and individual coaching sessions
  • Provide support to supervisors.
  • Participate in leadership meetings to identify trends and opportunities for growth and assist in the execution of such initiatives.
  • Perform file audits, report findings to Supervisors, and provide actionable insights to identify training needs and improvement opportunities

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ year insurance industry experience or 5+ years Subrogation, collections or negotiations experience required.
  • MS Office - proficient in the following Excel - ability to add data to cells, use functions, pivots, sort data Word - ability to create documents PowerPoint - ability to create presentations
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to address and work through confrontational situations while remaining calm, courteous, and professional.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: College/University degree preferred.
  • Training or Process Management experience preferred.
  • Estimating or ICar Training/knowledge is preferred.
  • Canadian claims experience is beneficial.
  • CSRP - Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional Designation a plus.

Location:

Current Location: US Remote, ideally within commutable distance of an Element office (Owings Mills, MD or Hopkins, MN)

The hiring base salary range for this position is $60,400 to $83,050 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
