DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As the Human Resource Analyst 3, you will be responsible for labor relation functions including consultations, union grievance processing, investigation of disciplinary actions, conducting Labor/Management meetings, as well as training management and staff on employee relation issues. Work also involves advising management and supervisors in regards to content and intent of the contract language, personnel rules, and management memos; creating and re-writing job descriptions; recruiting candidates; conducting interviews; completing background checks; as well as handling onboarding for new employees. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Developing, recommending, and implementing personnel policies and procedures
  • Addressing complaints from employees
  • Serving as the administrator for the processing of payroll
  • Leading negotiations for management with Unions
  • Handling Unemployment Compensation functions

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in the performance of technical human resource duties at the full journeyman level involving specialized or supervisory work, including experience in the area of the parenthetical; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
