Senior Targets Systems Engineer

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior Targets Systems Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

PeopleTec is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Targets Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will provide technical and advisory assistance to Targets Program Office by aiding in the refinement and implementation of Target trajectories in support of the agencies flight test events to validate the weapon and system sensors.

Duties:

Support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Directorate for Test (DT) Targets program office with development of missile defense target vehicles.
• Support the Targets System Engineering team in all aspects of target design, analysis, and test to include requirements development and assessment, modeling and simulation, test analysis and reporting
• Work with weapon system teams to help ensure Target Specification and Requirement documents are correctly understood and flown to production teams
• Ensure the development of Flight Test trajectories fall within the capabilities of the target system while fully testing the weapon system
• Understand the real world threat environment and how to utilize current and future test assets to create realistic test events to prove out the defensive systems
• Work with the Flight Test teams to ensure target systems are developed and integrated in time to support the IMTP test needs.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Java, C#, and other programming languages
• Experience with telemetry systems, data acquisition, and analysis
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Active Secret clearance

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in missile defense related or other DoD programs/projects

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field (e.g., physics, engineering, math)
• Familiarity with MDA and/or DoD programs and processes
• Experience MBSE tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks
• Ability to communicate detailed technical information to technical and non-technical personnel
