Safely transports passengers to various destinations while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Adheres to assignments in accordance with scheduled shuttle routes prepared by the Manager, Supervisor, and/or Dispatcher. Reports to the Supervisor of Transportation (or to a designated individual in the Supervisor's absence). Provide safe, courteous, and professional service to passengers while en route to/from destinations. Follow established routes and departure times. Communicates with dispatch for guidance on any detours/delays. -Operates vehicles in accordance with Mass General Brigham Fleet Safety Program Policies and Procedures, as well as in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. -Maintains an accurate log documenting the number of passengers, trips completed, mileage, interior/exterior vehicle inspection, and other information that might be requested. -Ensures adherence to passenger limits, both seated and standing. -Assists passengers with disabilities and others needing assistance to board and disembark from the vehicle via the wheelchair lift. -Reports any emergencies/concerns with the vehicle and/or passengers immediately to the Supervisor and/or Dispatcher. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes Licenses and Credentials MGH Security RMV Check/Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report - MGB Internal required Commercial Drivers License [Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Department of Transportation Registry of Motor Vehicles required Experience Proven experience as a shuttle bus driver 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Excellent driving skills for shuttle buses and coach-type vehicles with the ability to navigate various road and weather conditions safely. - Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation. - Great improvisational skills. - Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance procedures. - Excellent customer service skills. - Ability to obtain a DOT medical card from Occupational Health. - Ability to possess and maintain an Air Brake Endorsement and Passenger Endorsement on a CDL license.
