As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed, driving patrol professional. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access control activities while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support controlled entry procedures for restricted areas in accordance with site protocols and assigned post orders.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings while operating in varied indoor and outdoor environments, reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues through proper channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
