Job Description




As a Security Officer Campus Grounds Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support a welcoming environment while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity every day.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating observations to site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity in accordance with property policies, assisting with directions, information, and/or other tenant and guest service needs.
  • Report maintenance issues, unusual conditions, and/or policy violations observed during patrols to help support orderly daily operations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
