The HL7 Integration Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the organization's HL7 interfaces, data integrations, reports, and SQLbased troubleshooting. This role is ideal for a junior-midlevel candidate who is smart, motivated, reliable, and eager to learn. You will work with HL7 interfaces, assist with ongoing migrations from Python to Lua, and support LIS integration projects currently underway. The right candidate is someone who takes initiative, can handle responsibility without requiring close supervision, and communicates professionally with internal teams and external clients. HL7 Interface Development & Support (approx. 40%) * Maintain approximately 40-43 existing HL7 interfaces (ADT, orders, results). * Support conversions of existing Pythonbased interfaces to Lua (Iguana). * Assist with transitioning interfaces to new platforms; validate and test with clients. * Troubleshoot interface issues, ensure stability, and perform ongoing maintenance. * Collaborate with external partners, hospital teams, and system vendors (Epic, Cloverleaf, LIS vendors). * Participate in interface testing related to ongoing LIS integration and new billing/equipment interfaces. Report Analysis & SQL Support (approx. 25%) * Write and troubleshoot SQL queries for reporting and data validation. * Assist with report generation, data extraction, and rootcause analysis. Business Analysis (approx. 25%) * Work with clients to understand integration requirements, specifications, and workflows. * Participate in requirements gathering, documentation, and endtoend testing processes. * Communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. General Support (approx. 10%) * Provide basic application support (not a developer role, but requires technical aptitude). * Support daytoday interface operations and assist with escalated issues. *Skills* Hl7, SQL, Python, Interfaceware Iguana, Scripting, Report Writing, Troubleshooting, Integration testing, Lua, .NET *Top Skills Details* Hl7,SQL,Python,Interfaceware Iguana,Scripting,Report Writing,Troubleshooting,Integration testing *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Bachelor's degree preferred (open to recent graduates with strong technical aptitude). * HL7 experience strongly preferred (orders/results, ADT). * Solid SQL skills - able to write queries and troubleshoot independently. * Programming ability in Python (minimum requirement). * Willingness and ability to learn Lua; any .NET experience is helpful due to similarity. * Familiarity with Interfaceware Iguana or similar integration engines. * Strong problemsolving skills and comfort with technical troubleshooting. * Ability to communicate with clients about specifications, testing, and validation. * Must be reliable, proactive, emotionally mature, and able to handle responsibility without handholding. 1-4 years of experience in HL7, integrations, or healthcare IT (but open to junior candidates with the right drive). * Experience with LIS or hospital systems (Epic, Cloverleaf, etc.). * Exposure to Python, Lua, SQL, .NET languages, or interface development. * Clinical, medical, or laboratory industry experience is a plus. *Experience Level* Entry Level *Job Type & Location*This is a Permanent position based out of Sarasota, FL. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $87000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
