Salary Range: $100,000-$125,000

SUMMARY:

The Project Manager is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day responsibilities for all aspects of the project to which he/she is assigned. The Project Manager will report to Dawson's HQ office in Denver, CO but can work remotely and will likely oversee projects outside of the Denver region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities and monitors and summarizes progress of project.
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding project status as well as written reports and other documents necessary for the completion of specific project requirements/task orders.
  • Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Ensures adherence to all safety practices and procedures while performing or supervising the performance of tasks in all work areas.
  • Coordinates and supervises assigned project staff and subcontracted workers.
  • Generates quality of work product in accordance with company quality control protocols.
  • Prepares written reports and other documents necessary for the completion of specific projects.
  • Cultivates and maintains the necessary contacts with clients and regulatory agency personnel.
  • Development, review, issuance, and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Assist in proposal, generation, development, and/or reviews with Dawson team for new contracts.
  • Creation and management of budget.
  • Able to travel for extended periods of time to start up contracts and on an as needed basis.
  • Able to travel to site for extended periods of time.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Directly supervises employees within the departments(s).
  • Indirectly supervises employees within the departments(s).
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Mentor/assist in the development of staff.
  • Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and direction work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience as an Assistant/Associate Project Manager or Project Manager is required.
  • A minimum 4 years of experience in Operations & Maintenance or the Construction industry; government experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to respond to Task Order RFPs by creating an internal estimate for review by management prior to submission.
  • Ability to delegate work and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to control and manage budgets and schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams with projects of moderate to advanced scope and complexity.
  • Able to meet time sensitive deadlines and carry out multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be experienced/skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
