| Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Clinic Services Representative II for the Eric B. Chandler Health Center at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The primary purpose of the Clinic Service Representative II-Registration is to perform a variety of simple and complex registration activities at the Eric. B. Chandler Health Center and its affiliate sites under limited supervision.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Greets patients/visitors determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
- Schedules and maintains appointments through the Practice Management scheduling (IDX) program.
- Checks in-patients, verifies and updates demographic, insurance and other necessary information in the computer records.
- Completes new patient's demographics, emergency contact and employer information in the Program Management System.
- Accurately collects and verifies insurance information and determines limitations of patient's insurance coverage.
- Determines eligibility for federal and state programs. Determines eligibility and processes applications.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Two (2) years of experience in physician, hospital or health center billing setting, including management of various types of insurance billing processes.

| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) skills required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
- Must be familiar with the billing practices of Medicaid and Medicare.
- Requires working with office equipment and confidential patient records and correspondence.
- Required to proofread and check documents for accuracy.
