Job Purpose

The Lead Process Manager plays a critical role in strengthening project delivery by improving and standardizing project management processes across the organization. This role focuses on identifying opportunities to enhance how projects are executed, partnering closely with project managers and cross-functional leadership to drive continuous improvement.

The Lead Process Manager will work extensively with leaders across departments to strengthen collaboration, remove process barriers, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. In addition, this role serves as a coach and advisor to project managers, supporting them in developing best practices, strengthening execution discipline, and driving consistent project outcomes.

Success in this role requires strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to influence teams and motivate project managers to operate at a high level of performance.

Key Accountabilities

Process Improvement & Standardization

  • Evaluate existing project management processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and project outcomes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of standardized processes, tools, and best practices to strengthen project execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating lessons learned, performance data, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Partner with governance and leadership teams to align processes with organizational objectives and operational priorities.

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a key liaison between the project management organization and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Partner with leaders across departments to identify process gaps, collaboration challenges, and opportunities to improve project delivery.
  • Facilitate discussions and working sessions to align teams on execution standards, expectations, and process improvements.
  • Promote transparency and alignment across stakeholder groups to support successful project outcomes.

Project Manager Coaching & Support

  • Provide guidance and coaching to project managers to strengthen project planning, execution, and stakeholder management.
  • Support project managers in applying best practices related to project governance, risk management, and communication.
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strong execution across the project management community.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to project managers as they navigate project challenges and complex stakeholder environments.

Performance Monitoring & Insights

  • Monitor project execution trends and identify opportunities to improve performance and delivery outcomes.
  • Use data and insights to recommend process improvements and inform leadership decision-making.
  • Partner with reporting and analytics teams to evaluate project performance and identify lessons learned.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to leadership to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project/Construction Management, or related degree required.
  • 7+ Years of experience in Project/Construction Management, process improvement, or PMO leadership required.
  • Strong understanding of Project management methodologies and project delivery practices.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional leaders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting project managers in a professional environment.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification preferred.
  • Experience working within a PMO, governance, or project delivery organization preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management tools, reporting platforms, and process improvement methodologies preferred.
More Information

Salary: $121,000.00 - $142,000.00 USD annually
