This is a temporary part-time, non-benefited position at $60/hour.

What you'll do and what you'll bring:

Position Function:

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) serves as a part-time primary care provider within the Interprofessional Community Clinics' Healthy Lifestyle Center delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan while supporting the mission of the Interprofessional Community Clinics. This role integrates clinical practice with education and collaboration, emphasizing prevention, wellness, and whole-person health. The FNP evaluates, diagnoses, and manages acute and chronic conditions, provides health education, and coordinates care, while also serving as a clinical mentor to students in an interprofessional learning environment. Through active participation in team-based care and community engagement, the FNP contributes to improving health outcomes and expanding access to quality healthcare services in East Central Indiana.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary and family medicine services to patients across the lifespan
  • Conduct health histories, physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Deliver preventative services, wellness counseling, and patient education
  • Collaborate with staff and students in an interprofessional clinical environment
  • Coordinate patient care and referrals as needed
  • Serve as a clinical preceptor and mentor to healthcare students
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution
  • Current Indiana licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Eligibility for prescriptive authority in the state of Indiana
  • Current DEA registration or ability to obtain
  • Demonstrated experience in primary care across the lifespan
  • Eligible to be credentialed with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and commercial insurance plans

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing preventative care, health education, and lifestyle-focused interventions
  • Familiarity with the healthcare needs of East Central Indiana or similar communities
  • Experience working in interprofessional, team-based care environments, particularly those involving student learners
