What to Expect Tesla Self Perform Construction is seeking a motivated Field Engineer to integrate with our field construction teams. Responsible for assuring quality and efficient execution of Self Perform Construction and supporting our mechanical field teams including Process Piping, Wet Mechanical, and Dry Mechanical. What You'll Do Integrate with field activities and ensure alignment with drawings, specifications, and construction quality; including collecting field measurements, writing requests for information (RFIs), and providing as-built redlines or other documentation or construction administration activities Review, understand, and implement construction document drawings, specifications, and quality standards Assist internal quality team with creating field packages and subsequent test packages, ultimately driving projects through mechanical completion and turnover Support construction with change management, takeoffs, and progress reporting Providing construction and engineering teams with design interpretation and preferred constructability means & methods, respectively Identify opportunities for detail/design/constructability improvements and report back to the construction management teams Liaison between Factory Engineering, Quality, and Self Perform Construction to push project's forward What You'll Bring 2-5+ yrs of hands-on experience with petrochemical facilities, high-tech industrial centers, or background in large capital projects (EPC experience preferred) Mechanical background preferred (Dry Mechanical, Process Piping, Plumbing); Structural and Architectural background secondary Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate up-and-down from management to craft labor A strong desire and capability to work in the field and integrate with the Self Perform Construction teams at the field level - "boots on the ground" mentality Background and experience with major EPC or large capital construction projects Self-Starter work ethic requiring minimal direction to provide value Proficient in Navisworks, Revizto, Bluebeam, Office Suite Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
