Quality is the backbone of nuclear excellence, and the Corrective Action Program (CAP) is central to that commitment. As a Quality Specialist III, you will serve as a subject matter expert for CAP, structured problem solving, and quality oversight. Your work will ensure that issues are promptly identified, thoroughly evaluated, and effectively resolved - strengthening the reliability of the fuel that powers millions of homes. From leading 8D and A3 investigations to mentoring teams, analyzing trends, and overseeing vendor and site performance, your contributions will help safeguard our operations today and support the innovations that will power tomorrow.



What You'll Do Day-To-Day

    Plan, schedule and conduct independent inspections or surveillances of materials and products.
  • Review documents, prepare checklists, conduct assessment interviews and prepare assessment reports.
  • Ensure and document that corrective actions are taken based on report findings.
  • Review QA procedures to verify compliance with ASME, IEEE and ISO Standards.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of NRC or other pertinent regulations and industry codes and standards.
  • Develop and implement nuclear and/or non-nuclear quality assurance procedures to be followed for design, procurement, construction and/or operation of materials and/or processes.
  • Review quality assurance specifications, test reports and other documentation to ensure that safety and quality assurance requirements are met.
  • Inspect and review contractors' and vendors' work for compliance with QA standards.
  • Routinely interface with customers, both internal and external to develop processes solve issues and improve performance.
  • Routinely act as the Lead QA/QC representative for support of projects at Framatome, supplier or customer.

Corrective Action Program (CAP) Leadership

* Serve as the site subject matter expert for the Corrective Action Program

* Monitor CAP timeliness, quality, and effectiveness, ensuring issues are promptly identified, evaluated, and addressed

* Review condition reports, causal analyses, corrective actions, and closure packages

* Coach and mentor personnel on CAP expectations and best practices

Structured Problem Solving (8D & A3)

* Lead and facilitate 8D investigations for significant issues

* Train, mentor, and qualify site personnel as 8D facilitators

* Perform the same leadership and coaching functions for A3 problemsolving

* Ensure investigations are thorough, datadriven, and aligned with industry standards



What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years related experience in nuclear quality assurance or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge of related engineering and quality assurance standards, techniques and criteria.
  • Understanding of internal and external audit processes.
  • Understanding of customer and industry-specific quality requirements.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.

  • Salary: $94,0000 - $127,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
