Hangar Maintenance Manager IMMEDIATELY HIRING! FULL-TIME Opportunity Hangar Maintenance Manager in McClellan, CA
- Starting Salary: $110,000 -$120,000 annually
- 10% ICP Bonus
We're hiring a Hangar Maintenance Manager who will supervise all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activity atthe Sacramento Hangar Facility.This positionwill hire and develop skilled and qualified staff, develop high quality, safe and efficient processes and systems, and maintain all aircraft in a safe, effective and compliant state of flight readiness. This position manages and supervises all main hangar maintenance personnel, duty scheduling, equipment, processes and standardization to ensure the highest degree of safety, quality and compliance. This position also works directly with the Regional Maintenance Managers to coordinate all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance which may include equipment or aircraft transfer to/from the main maintenance facility.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and directs all maintenance activity at a hangar maintenance facility including responsibility for flight readiness of training and spare aircraft.
- Maintains a fleet maintenance calendar to manage current workflow taking into consideration flight department needs and base operations.
- Coordinates pre-planning of scheduled events and preparation of project scope, work order package, and master schedule.
Assigns and supervises maintenance personnel to ensure efficient workflow, high quality completion standards, and skill development. - Maintains daily oversight of maintenance projects, documents progress and deviations through to completion. Conducts daily progress checks with the project team.
- Serves as a backup point of contact for vendors and manufacturers' technical representatives on service-related issues, and coordinates with the inventory procurement division to ensure efficient and timely acquisition of parts and supplies.
- Monitors base mechanic performance, provides training, coaching and counseling as needed and conducts performance reviews.
- Ensures the maintenance area, hangar, shop equipment and tools are kept in a repaired, clean, and safe condition, including oversight of the tool control program.
- Coordinates with both Chief Pilots to meet the needs of the Flight Department schedule and requirements, and to request any required maintenance pilot.
- Coordinates with Chief Inspector to ensure accurate and timely completion of maintenance sign-offs and work order documentation in accordance with company procedures and federal regulations.
- Coordination of scheduled maintenance events which require relocation to the maintenance hangar.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience
- Previous experience working under CFR Parts 135
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- Valid State issued Driver's license
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
- Highly knowledgeable of Federal Aviation Regulations, and of EMS aviation practices and requirements.
- May occasionally be required to travel to other bases to oversee or assist in maintenance events.
- Capable of maintaining flexibility and adaptability in leading company maintenance activities supporting around-the-clock air ambulance operations.
- FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working under CFR Parts 145 and 135 preferred. -
One (1) year of supervisory experience -
College coursework in aviation maintenance or a related field
