This position supports Mesa's SDC business. Our Sterilization and Disinfection Control division manufactures and sells biological and chemical indicators that assess the effectiveness of sterilization and disinfection processes for pharmaceutical, healthcare, and dental industries. Job Summary The Lab Analyst III (R&D Department) is a skilled position responsible for advanced support in laboratory operations. The Lab Analyst III will conduct complex laboratory procedures and ensure high standards of quality and safety. The Lab Analyst III will collaborate with senior laboratory personnel to manage projects, optimize workflows, and assist in training and mentoring other Lab Analysts. This role will report directly to the Associate Manager, R & D. Duties/Responsibilities Complex Sample Preparation and Analysis: Education/Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with demonstrated proficiency in complex laboratory procedures and techniques. Knowledge & Skillsets Required: * Strong understanding of laboratory operations, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. * Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and mentor junior staff. Physical Demands: * Standing or sitting: For extended periods in laboratories or offices. * Using computers: Typing and using the computer * Manual dexterity: Handling instruments, samples, and data analysis tools. * Equipment: Handling and maintaining scientific instruments * Bending and reaching: Accessing equipment or storage areas. * Lifting: Occasionally handling lab equipment or materials. * Repetitive motions: Conducting repetitive experiments or analyses. Environmental Conditions: * Workspace: Climate control (air conditioning or heating) to ensure comfort. * Lighting: Artificial lighting and must be able to see different colors. * Noise Levels: Light * Ergonomics: Designed to support tasks such as pipetting, analyzing samples, and preparing reagents, often requiring precise movements. * Climate: Regulated temperature, humidity, and cleanliness to ensure accurate results. * Safety: Must adhere to safety protocols, including wearing protective gear (gloves, lab coats, goggles) and handling chemicals or biological materials carefully.
