Job Description

Experience preferred, however we will train the right person. This is a 2nd shift position with a 4-day (10 hours/day) workweek from Monday thru Thursday, 4pm -2:30am. Recent base wage increase is ultra-competitive, and there's an additional $1/hour shift differential for this 2nd shift role.



Summary


Balers will be trained to operate forklift to load and unload parts and materials.



Role and Responsibilities



  1. Follow ALL Safe work practices, LOTO, PPE, JHA's, Wait for the Wave, etc.
  2. Meet all quality standards and customer requirements
  3. Skill and ability to meet or exceed the standardized expectations in safety, quality, and productivity
  4. Follow all posted warning and instructional signage
  5. Accurately and consistently complete daily equipment checklist
  6. Maintain an orderly, safe, and clean work area. Willing to correct unsafe conditions under his/her control and report those s/he cannot fix to a lead or supervisor
  7. Perform other duties as directed by supervision
  8. Willing and able to learn and operate lift trucks (scrap hauler/clamp)
  9. Work well in a team-based setting
  10. Ability to frequently lift up to 25lbs and periodically lift up to 50lbs
  11. Able to prioritize activities and communicate effectively with co-workers
  12. Use lift truck or manually load material into the baler hopper
  13. Ability to identify and communicate any issues/potential issues which have the potential to impact safety, customer satisfaction, or delivery
  14. Remove full bales, weigh, and place in designated area
  15. May assist in the training of newer employees within the department
  16. Travel through shop and pick up full scrap carts, piles of scrap


Qualifications and Education Requirements



  1. High School Diploma or GED


Preferred Skills



  1. Prior manufacturing/warehouse experience preferred
