Job Summary
Perform initial and baseline level system analysis, definition and design activities for new software applications. Support team to modify and maintain existing applications. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Other software developers and analysts, application engineers, system administrators, project managers, database administrators, customers and department management. Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 - Assist functional user in identifying business case or need for system solution; document requirements.
Job Duty 2 - Review application specifications, application functionality white papers, or other similar documents to gain understanding of features and potential use cases.
Job Duty 3 - Document products and modification designs, system specifications, assist in generation of time and resource estimates, assist in identifying any exceptions to customer specifications, prepare formal testing scripts and help prepare production support documentation to ensure sustainable delivery.
Job Duty 4 - Provide first tier technical support directly to customers to respond to queries about EIS Applications and their use or to explain the design and function of available system solutions where possible.
Job Duty 5 - Assist the other application support engineers as needed.
Job Duty 6 - Assist the application support engineers to assemble and test the final products with controls as needed.
Job Duty 7 - Assist and/or perform both in-house and customer training and consultation, as required.
Job Duty 8 - Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements Associate's Degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Required Qualifications Overnight travel required for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours (due to client shift schedules, project requirements)
Required Experience Up to two years of job related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications Designing applications and technical writing experience is preferred
Preferred Educational Qualifications Bachelor's Degree

SKILLS This job requires effective oral and written communication skills; the ability to plan, organize, and multi-task in order to meet deadlines. This job also requires a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications; and a general understanding of business systems and IT architecture. Demonstrated problem solving skills in a business or technology environment, being detail oriented and well organized is also required.

Additional Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess enterprise systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies and develop strategies for process improvement.
- Design and implement system modifications and enhancements based on user feedback and evolving business needs to optimize system performance.
- Conduct training sessions for users to promote effective utilization of enterprise systems and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Monitor system performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to ensure systems operate at optimal levels and meet user expectations.
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams and end-users to facilitate communication and ensure that technology solutions meet user needs.
- Prepare detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures to support system maintenance and user training efforts.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance the institution's enterprise systems.
- Assist in the development of project plans and timelines for enterprise system enhancements and upgrades, ensuring the timely delivery of technology solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring that technology solutions align with organizational goals.
- Assist with system functionality by documenting and managing the requirements for configuration, user permission, and role access.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for graduate programs on EAB Navigate system specifications, functionality, and potential use cases.
- Prepare the production support documentation which coordinates nightly data integrations between Navigate 360 and institutional systems (e.g., Banner, Enterprise Data Warehouse) and testing scripts for new data elements (e.g., categories, tags, student groups, care units, roles, permissions, etc.).
- Provide customer support, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot issues.
- Liaise with EAB application support engineers and campus partners (OIT, Institutional Research) as needed.
- Develop user support materials, provide user training, and generate analytics and reports on system usage to inform engagement and intervention strategies.
