First Shift



PRIMARY PURPOSE:


Evaluate products and suppliers according to key business criteria. Research and identify prospective suppliers to ensure continuity of operations. Analyzing industry and demand trends and supporting management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.




ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  1. Support implementation of corporate sourcing strategies in response to defined business objectives.
  2. Maintain supply chain market intelligence, cost models, and trend analysis in order to leverage corporate business performance, assure continuance of supply, and mitigate risk.
  3. Assist with corporate level review of existing supplier contracts or agreements in pursuit of annual/continuous value enhancement opportunities, including GPO contracts, to ensure optimal savings.
  4. Monitor supplier performance and support resolving issues and concerns.
  5. Work effectively across the organization to enhance internal & external customer satisfaction and support sourcing and/or cost reduction strategies.
  6. Maintain regulated corporate level Sourcing operations in keeping with all applicable standards of accreditation, all regulatory requirements, and in support of SCM departmental continuous improvement initiatives/projects.
  7. Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Extensive MS Office Suite, general ERP/computer knowledge
  • Team player with strong organizational skills.



WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES


Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field.
  • CPM or APICS certification.


  • 2 plus years of experience as purchasing specialist or similar role.
  • Data analysis/Interpretation and cost modeling capabilities.
