Asst Dir for Applied Learning

The Assistant Director (AD) helps build capacity and an expanded community of practice for applied learning among university faculty and staff. The AD serves as the primary liaison across K-State campuses to cultivate faculty relationships and facilitate the practical implementation of applied learning experiences within diverse academic programs. Additionally, the AD provides support for co-curricular applied learning experiences at the university that are not based within a particular program, department, or college.

This position is On-site.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and seven years of relevant experience
  Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Earned doctorate in relevant field
• 3-5 years of professional experience in higher education, curriculum development, teaching, or program management
• Experience teaching or managing experiential/applied learning courses at the university level
• Demonstrated success in faculty outreach or inter-departmental consultation
• Familiarity with the academic structure at a research level institution and a multi-campus system
• Experience supervising instructional staff or graduate assistants
