Security Officer - Aviation Screening

As a Security Officer - Aviation Screening in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy government airport location, you will help monitor access points, screen people and property, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. This role combines strong customer service, communication, and attention to detail while helping create a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $18.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Screen passengers, visitors, employees, and/or carried items in accordance with post orders and applicable screening protocols.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and reporting suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with supervisors and/or public agency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and perimeter locations, with duties and working conditions that may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
