The CPCCo Emergency Management (EM) Department is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Readiness Assurance Operations Support Specialist. This position will support the implementation of Program Elements for the Emergency Preparedness Program, interfacing across all levels of the team and other project organizations. Under general supervision acts as an independent contributor in all conventional aspects of the subject matter or functional area of the assignments. Involved in decisions and actions that have a high visibility impact on the successful achievement of emergency preparedness goals and objectives. A day in the life of a Readiness Assurance Operations Support Specialist includes, but is not limited to: * Serve as the point of contact for EM training assignments. Verify completion of required training for Emergency Response Organizations and EM personnel. * Serve as the Technical Authority for Emergency Management and Emergency Response procedures. Providing procedure reviews as requested for other CPCC groups. * Serve as the Requirements Management Subject Matter Expert for Emergency Management. * Serve as the point of contact for and technical writer of emergency plans. * Participate in assessment and emergency preparedness drills evaluations * Serve as a trained controller/evaluator on emergency preparedness drills * Serve in an assigned position within the Emergency Operations Center for a declared emergency (e.g., Protective Action Coordinator, WebEOC operator, Media Response Member).
Basic Qualifications
Career Level Grade 16: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 5 or more years of relevant experience
Career Level Grade 17: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 6 or more years of relevant experience
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams), Adobe DC * Experience supporting Emergency Preparedness or Environmental Safety and Health * Experience working with DOORs or other Microsoft Access-like databases utilized to ensure regulatory and contractual requirements are captured in programmatic procedures
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
Career Level Grade 16: $81,500 - $125,250 Career Level Grade 17: $86,200- $137,650
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
