Melter / Filler - 2nd Shift

2nd Shift; Mon-Fri; 2 PM - 10 PM

General Purpose

Properly melt and transfer product (butter) to the correct holding tank. Minimize loss by proper draining.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate records on product produced
• Assist operator in packaging of finished product and other duties where needed
• Maintain a clean working area and ensure all equipment is cleaned properly
• Ensure all product is labeled, and code date is correct before moving to storage
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
• Attend required training, including but not limited to: GMP's HAACP, SQF, and Safety

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Production or general work experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Able to follow directions and carry out instructions
• Able to effectively work in a team environment
• Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
